Luck wants ticket for European golf tour

Up-and-coming amateur golfer Curtis Luck views this week's Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines as a chance to claim his spot on the European Tour.

Amateur golfer Curtis Luck is aiming to fast-track his professional career at the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.

The 20-year-old has already qualified for next year's US Masters courtesy of a win at the US Amateur Championship, however a win at Royal Pines, starting on Thursday, would give him a ticket on next year's European Tour.

"To be able to qualify would really simplify my year next year and take a lot of pressure off what I'm going to try and do next year," Luck said.
