Experienced pair Issac Luke and Manu Vatuvei are in line for late inclusion in the Warriors team to play Newcastle after completing training without difficulty on Sunday.

Hooker Luke could make his NRL home debut for the winless Warriors in Auckland on Monday, having been ruled out the day before last week's 21-14 loss to Melbourne with a knee injury. It handed a debut start to 20-year-old hooker Jazz Tevaga.

Winger Vatuvei also missed the Storm game with a rib injury suffered in the second-round loss to Brisbane.

The pair, who share more than 400 NRL caps between them, weren't initially named to face Newcastle but both have been given the all-clear by club medical staff.

However, second-rower Bodene Thompson won't play after being named to start, having picked up a rib problem during the week.
