Jarrod Lyle kicked back with a cold beer and thanked his many supporters after making the cut in his first US PGA tournament since beating cancer for a second time.
The 33-year-old Victorian golfer sits at two-under-par in the Frys.com Open in California after fighting his way back to the tour from a 2012 leukaemia diagnosis and subsequent tour withdrawal.
"I've made two cuts in the last two-and-a-half years, so it's been a long time to feel that pressure, but I think I handled it pretty well," Lyle, who made the cut by two strokes, told PGA.com.
Lyle, who eagled the fifth hole on his way to carding two under, took to Twitter after his round at Napa, posting a comment accompanied by a picture of him enjoying a beer.
"Just sitting back enjoying a cold one after making the cut. Tastes good!! Thanks everybody for your support," he tweeted.
Lyle's 2012 leukaemia diagnosis came as his wife was due to give birth to their daughter.
He no longer receives any treatment except for a penicillin tablet he takes once a day for the rest of his life.
He will return to Australia next week to receive a precautionary blood test.
Scotland's Martin Laird leads the Frys.com Open at 10-under-par by one shot ahead of Korea's Sang-Moon Bae and American Zachary Blair.
Stuart Appleby and Cameron Percy are the best-placed Australians with the pair locked on five under in a tie for 12th.
Lyle is tied for 47th along with compatriot Marc Leishman.
