NATHAN LYON'S EPIC TOUR OF BANGLADESH:

* Lyon's 22 wickets are the most by an Australian bowler in a two-match Test series. He is only one shy of Sri Lankan tweaker Rangana Herath's record

* With 46 Test wickets at an average of 22.35, Lyon overtakes India's Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin (both 44) as the world's leading wicket-taker in 2017

* Claiming figures of 3-79, 6-82, 7-94 and 6-60, Lyon becomes just the ninth bowler and second Australian behind Clarrie Grimmett to take six-wicket hauls in three consecutive innings

* Lyon has recorded career-best match figures of 13-154 in the second Test in Chittagong. England great Ian Botham is the only other bowler to have taken 13 wickets in a Test in Asia

* It is also the second-best performance by an Australian spinner behind Grimmett's 14-199 against South Africa in 1932

* With 269 Test scalps, Lyon is Australia's seventh-highest wicket-taker

* Lyon overtook Richie Benaud's tally during the first Test in Dhaka to leave Shane Warne as the only Australian spinner with more dismissals

* Warne is the only other visiting bowler to claim five hauls of five or more wickets in Asia in a calendar year
