Mailata made to wait again for NFL debut

Australian NFL rookie Jordan Mailata has once again been left out of Philadelphia's match-day squad for Sunday's clash with Indianapolis.

Australian rookie Jordan Mailata will not make his NFL regular season debut for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Eagles, for the third consecutive week, named Mailata as inactive for their 46-man game day squad for Sunday's (Monday 3am AEST) clash against the Colts, although Geelong punter Cameron Johnston will play.

Eagles' veteran tackle Jason Peters suffered a leg injury in the team's loss last week to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but has recovered and eliminating the need to promote his inexperienced understudy.
