Maitua, Moga still on Samoan outer

Reni Maitua and Tautau Moga remain on the outer with Samoa coach Matt Parish but Sauaso Sue returns from suspension for their Four Nations clash with NZ.

Sauaso Sue has been recalled but suspended teammates Reni Maitua and Tautau Moga remain on the outer with Samoa coach Matt Parish ahead of Saturday's Four Nations rugby league clash with New Zealand at Whangarei.

Sue has been included on an extended bench for the must-win clash against the buoyant Kiwis.

However the jury is still out on when Maitua and Moga will don Samoan colours after they were again not included in Parish's 19-strong squad on Tuesday.

Sue, Maitua and Moga all missed Samoa's opening 32-26 loss to England last weekend and were fined $10,000 each for their involvement in a recent brawl in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.

Parish said he would consider the trio for their second game but it seems Maitua and Moga have still not done enough to earn a reprieve.

Centre Tim Lafai comes into the starting side in place of Ricky Leutele after missing the opening game due to his wedding.

Sam Tagataese has been replaced in the front row by Issac Liu while Michael Sio has been dumped as hooker for Pita Godinet.

Sue comes onto the extended bench with Dunamis Lui.

Samoa squad: Tim Simona, Antonio Winterstein, Tim Lafai, Joey Leilua, Daniel Vidot, Ben Roberts, Kyle Stanley, Issac Liu, Pita Godinet, David Fa'alogo (capt), Frank Pritchard, Lesson Ah Mau, Josh McGuire. Interchange: Dunamis Lui, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Sauaso Sue, Mose Masoe, Dominique Peyroux, Penani Manumalealii.
