Queensland's anti-bikie taskforce is executing 18 search warrants across Queensland as part of a major drug trafficking investigation.
The raids on Friday morning end a two-year joint Taskforce Maxima and Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) investigation, dubbed Operation Juliet Wave, that has focused on Bandidos gang members and associates from the club's Centro chapter.
Before the raids, which are taking place simultaneously in Brisbane, Logan, Cairns and on the Gold Coast, Operation Juliet Wave had already seized drugs worth $2.6 million and charged 53 people with serious offences, police say.
One former Bandidos gang member was also arrested on Friday morning and will be charged with serious drug trafficking offences.
Police say he was involved in trafficking crystal methylamphetamine (ice) and methylamphetamine oil which can be converted to ice.
The owner of the Rogue Coffee and Cafe at South Brisbane, where one of the first Bitcoin ATMs in Queensland was installed, has also been arrested.
CCC management and police will update media with further arrest information on Friday afternoon.
