The Catholic Church in Malaysia has lost the latest round in a lengthy legal battle against a ban on the use of the word 'Allah' by non-Muslims.
At the centre of the case is a Catholic newspaper, the Herald, which argues Malaysian Christians have been using the Arabic word to describe 'God' for generations.
But Malaysia's highest court has dismissed a bid by the Herald to hear an appeal against the ban.
Church lawyer S. Selvarajah explained the case to Dragana Mrkaja.
