Police have arrested one man after reports of a bomb threat at a Sydney Westfield shopping centre.

Officers had previously cordoned off a portion of Westfield’s outdoor mall in the northern Sydney suburb of Hornsby.

Authorities were called to the site at 4PM, but could not confirm reports of a bomb threat.

A spokeswoman for Westfield management said other areas of the centre were still operating throughout the period.
