Man bitten on arm in NSW shark attack

A man is in hospital on the NSW mid-north coast after a shark latched onto his arm on Sunday afternoon.

A man has escaped serious injury after a shark attack on the NSW mid-north coast.

The man was bitten on his left arm and right hand in the attack at Old Bar beach near Taree about 3pm (AEST) on Sunday.

He was taken to Manning Base Hospital in a stable condition.
