Man charged after fatal cemetery crash

A man will front a Sydney court later this month after allegedly running over his father as he visited his wife's grave.

A Sydney man has been charged after allegedly running over his father at a cemetery.

The 59-year-old was with his 86-year-old father as the elderly man visited his wife's grave at Rockwood Cemetery in Sydney's west on December 28 last year.

The son was allegedly behind the wheel of a car when it rolled over his father.

Police allege his father had fallen in front of the vehicle.

He died as a result.

The son has been charged with negligent driving causing death and is due to appear in Burwood Local Court on June 23.
