Man charged for flag burning on Anzac eve

A 66-year-old man has been charged after allegedly burning the Australian flag in Brisbane's CBD on Anzac Day eve.

The man was arrested just after 1pm today for a breach of the peace.

He was taken to the watch-house and has now been charged with one count of public nuisance and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to the city to take part in the dawn service and parade commemorations for Anzac Day.
