Man charged over Melbourne CBD shooting

A man will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday, charged with attempted murder, over a shooting in Melbourne's CBD in April.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in relation to a shooting in Melbourne's CBD last month in which a man received serious injuries.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Elizabeth and Latrobe streets just after 3am on April 13, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Detectives from Armed Crime Taskforce on Thursday night charged 23-year-old Lalor man Fouad Elfayegh with attempted murder.

He was remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday.
