Man charged over Perth molotov cocktail

A man who allegedly lit a molotov cocktail in Perth bushland has been charged with lighting or attempting to light fire likely to injure.

Arson Squad officers have charged a man who allegedly lit a molotov cocktail in Perth bushland.

Police say the man was observed entering and leaving bushland in Betram just before 4pm on Friday and a search of the area found a lit incendiary device.

They also seized a number of items from the man's vehicle, which allegedly included boxes of matches.

The 59-year-old Embleton man has been charged with lighting or attempting to light fire likely to injure and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.
