A man is being held in custody after allegedly punching four security guards in the face in three separate incidents.
The man allegedly punched a security officer guarding a cab rank just after midnight on Saturday morning in the Sydney inner-city suburb of Potts Point.
Police say the security officer was knocked to the ground before the man tried to punch a second security officer at the cab rank.
In the second incident, minutes later, police say he approached two more taxi rank security guards, punching both in the face - leaving one with a bloody nose.
The man then allegedly passed a hotel a few minutes later where he punched a bouncer in the face and ran north on Victoria Street.
Patrolling police located him in Macleay Street, where he was arrested and later charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of assault.
He appeared in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody for a future court appearance on May 12.
