Man charged over Sydney drug find

A 33-year-old man, whose car allegedly held $500,000 worth of the drug MDMA, is to appear in a Sydney court.

A man will face court after police allegedly discovered $500,000 worth of drugs during a vehicle search in Sydney's inner west.

A 42-year-old man was stopped by detectives in Rozelle shortly before 3pm on Thursday (AEST) after his behaviour drew suspicion.

Shortly afterwards, a 33-year-old man was seen walking to his car nearby and police conducted a search of the vehicle.

The officers allegedly found cash and more than three kilograms of MDMA, with a potential street value of $500,000.

The younger man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and dealing with the proceeds of crime, and was refused bail to appear before Balmain Local Court on Friday.

The older man was arrested and released pending further inquiries.
