Man charged over wild Qld chase

Two police officers were hurt when two men in a station wagon led police on a dramatic chase through southeast Queensland.

A man's been charged over a wild car chase that saw a Queensland police van rammed so hard it flipped on its roof.

Two officers were injured during the chase north of Brisbane on Saturday night that saw two police vehicles rammed.

In the most dramatic incident, a police van was hit so hard it overturned, leaving the officer inside with minor injuries.

A second officer who later chased down one of two men inside the car broke his hand.

Police have since charged a 21-year-old Kallangur man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstructing police. He'll face the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on May 22.

Officers are still hunting for the driver involved in the chase, which began when police tried to stop a stolen station wagon at the beachside suburb of Marcoola.
