A man has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of another man in southwest Melbourne.
A man, believed to be aged in his 20s, died after he suffered a laceration to his chest in a fight in Altona North just before 3pm on Sunday, police say.
He was unable to be saved by ambulance crews.
Jonathon Sportan was charged in an out of sessions court hearing overnight on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old Carlton North man was remanded in custody and will face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
