Police have charged an 18-year-old man with the murder of missing Queensland teenager Jayde Kendall.

The 16-year-old's body was found today in a field south of Gatton, west of Brisbane - 13 days after she went missing.

The man was questioned, early in the probe, after Jayde was seen getting into his car days before she disappeared.

As well as murder, he has been charged with interfering with a corpse.

He's due to appear in court in Brisbane tomorrow.

Queensland Police say the breakthrough came after a property owner noticed something amiss, and notified them.
