A 21-year-old man has been charged with the bashing murder of a man on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
A 53-year-old man died in hospital after being assaulted about 12.20pm (AEST) on Saturday on The Esplanade at Mooloolaba. He died later on Saturday night.
Police are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
It is the second fatal assault on the Sunshine Coast in three months.
A 45-year-old man died from serious head injuries after he was allegedly attacked by three men outside a Maroochydore nightclub last November.
Three men have been charged with murder.
