Man critical after four-car crash in NSW

A man is in a critical condition in hospital and a five-year-old girl has been hurt after a four-car collision on NSW's Mid North Coast.

A man is fighting for his life and five other people, including a five-year-old girl, are in hospital after a four-car crash on NSW's Mid North Coast.

The 32-year-old driver allegedly tried to overtake a truck on the Pacific Highway on Sunday night, but collided with an oncoming car, which then spun out and collided with another car.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, while and a 37-year-old woman travelling with him was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 33-year-old woman and the five-year-old girl in the second car were also taken to hospital with minor injuries, as were two women from the third car.
