A man is in a critical condition after his car and a tram collided on a busy Melbourne street.
The crash happened on Swan Street, Burnley shortly after 2pm, Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said.
He said the man suffered series head and chest injuries and is now in the Alfred Hospital.
Tram services were disrupted for about two hours as the scene was cleared.
Police are investigating.
