Man dead in two-car crash in northern NSW

An elderly man has been killed in a two-car crash on the NSW mid-north coast, and four others have been injured.

One man has been killed and four people injured in a two-car crash on the NSW mid-north coast.

The accident took place about 2.15pm on Friday, on the Pacific Highway at Eungai Creek, south of Nambucca Heads.

The driver of one of the cars, a 78-year-old man, died at the scene.

The four people in the other car were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The Pacific Highway has since reopened to traffic.
