Man dies after assault in Sydney's west

A 36-year-old man has been arrested after a 62-year-old man was fatally assaulted in Sydney's west.

A 62-year-old man has died after being assaulted at a home in Sydney's west.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man at the home in Pemulwuy after being called at about 1lpm on Tuesday to find the 62-year-old suffering serious injuries.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he later died.

Police have established a crime scene and say the 36-year-old man is assisting with inquiries.
