A man in his late 60s has died after he became trapped under his quad-bike on the NSW Central Coast.

A passing motorist found the man stuck under the unregistered quad-bike on a road in Norah Head and called emergency services just after midnight on Sunday.

Local residents lifted the bike off the man before police arrived and performed CPR.
