Man dies in motorcycle crash in NSW

Friends have tried to revive a motorcyclist after he lost control on a rural road in the NSW Snowy mountains.

A motorcyclist on a group ride has been killed in a road accident in the NSW Snowy Mountains region.

Police say the 51-year-old man was in a group of riders travelling along Middlingbank Road at Jindabyne on Saturday when he lost control on a bend.

His motorcycle hit a rock, tree and a fence.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.

Police say his friends performed CPR before paramedics arrived but he died at the scene.
