A man has been extradited from the ACT and is expected to appear in a Sydney court in relation to an alleged robbery and kidnapping at the NSW town of Thredbo in March.

A resort hotel on Friday Drive was robbed in the early hours of March 12 when two masked men entered the premises, took cash from the safe and tied up the manager, before forcing him into a van and driving from the scene, police said.

A 34-year old man was arrested at a house in Fraser, in the ACT on Wednesday morning and taken to the City Watch House in Canberra before appearing in the Magistrates Court where police sought and were granted an extradition order to NSW.

The man was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where he was charged with warrants for several offences and refused bail to appear in Cooma Local Court on Thursday.

A second man believed to be involved in the robbery is still being sought by police.
