Man fighting for life after Sydney brawl

A 26-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit in the head during a brawl in Sydney's CBD.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was punched in the head during a brawl in Sydney's CBD.

Police say an argument reportedly broke out between two groups of people outside a bar in Goulburn Street around 4am on Sunday.

A 26-year-old man suffered a heavy blow to the head during the alleged fight, causing a fracture to his skull.

He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
