Man fights for life after one-punch attack

A teenager has been remanded in custody over an alleged one-punch attack at Ipswich as the victim fights for life in a Brisbane hospital.

A Queensland teenager will remain behind bars as the man he allegedly punched in the back of the head fights for life in hospital.

Ariik Mayot, 19, has been remanded in custody after appearing in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday over a one-punch attack.

The 56-year-old man who he allegedly punched in a Goodna street remains in Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
