Man fights for life after Qld house fire

A 19-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after he suffered burns and smoke inhalation in a house fire south of Brisbane.

A 19-year-old man is fighting for life after he suffered burns and smoke inhalation in a house fire south of Brisbane on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Coldstream Way at Holmview about 10.40pm after flames were seen coming from a property.

One of the two men inside the home was able to escape, while the 19-year-old was only freed after a neighbour broke a window and rescued him from a bedroom.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital suffering burns and smoke inhalation, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are investigating what caused the blaze.
