Man hurt by thrown bottle at Sydney party

Uninvited guests at a party in Sydney's west provoked a fight in which a man was hit in the head with a bottle then reportedly suffered a seizure.

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit in the head with a bottle during a fight at a party in Sydney's west.

Police were called to a West Hoxton address just before midnight on Saturday on reports of uninvited guests fighting with partygoers.

Bottles were thrown and one is believed to have hit a 20-year-old man in the forehead, causing a large cut.

The man also reportedly suffered a seizure at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police inquiries are continuing.
