Man killed in runover in WA's Pilbara

A man in his 20s is believed to have been lying on the road when he was fatally struck by a ute in the Pilbara region on Sunday morning.

A man hit by a ute and killed in Western Australia's Pilbara region is believed to have been lying on the road.

The man, in his 20s, was struck on Mitchie Crescent in South Hedland just after midnight on Sunday.

The 41-year-old driver stopped and tried to help the man, who was later pronounced dead at Hedland Health Campus.
