Man lying on road in Bundaberg hit by car

A man has suffered serious head injuries after being run over by a car while he was lying on a road in Bundaberg North, Queensland police say.

A man lying on a road in Bundaberg North has sustained life-threatening injuries when he was run over by a car.

Queensland police say the 28-year-old man was lying on Fairymead Road at around 9.15pm on Saturday when he was hit.

The driver of the car, a 74-year-old local man, stopped and called emergency services.

The injured man was taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital for treatment to serious head injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Bundaberg Police on 4153 9111.
