A 21-year-old man from central India has miraculously survived being impaled by an iron rod, narrowly avoiding traumatic injury.

Sanjay Bahe from Balaghat, India was repairing a well at a construction site in Madhya Pradesh when he reportedly fell and an iron rod pierced his skull.

The rod was removed safely with hardly any bleeding or injury to the surrounding area.

He was taken to a hospital and transferred to a specialist facility for surgery.

A team of six doctors removed the rod, which luckily didn't hit any major blood vessels in the brain.
