Man pinned under car on Gold Coast

Emergency crews have freed a man who was pinned under a car that hit him as he crossed a road on the Gold Coast.

A pedestrian who was pinned under a car that hit him on the Gold Coast will recover, police say.

The 23-year-old was was hit by a car while crossing a road at Southport on Tuesday night.

He was trapped under the car for some time and is recovering in hospital. The 29-year-old man who was driving the car wasn't hurt.
