Man remanded after Vic baby murder charge

A Victorian man has been charged with murder over the death of a baby girl, and remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance.

A Victorian man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with murder over the death of a three-month-old baby.

The baby girl became critically ill while at home in Heathcote and was airlifted to hospital on August 29, but died the next day.

Heathcote man Joby Anthony Rowe, 23, has been charged with one count of murder and faced an out-of-sessions hearing in Bendigo on Monday afternoon.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Bendigo Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
