Man seriously injured on NSW ski field

A man has been found unconscious and suffering serious head injuries at the Perisher ski fields in NSW.

A young man has been found unconscious on a ski field in NSW.

Snowmobile paramedics were called to a terrain park in the Perisher ski fields at 3.15pm (AEST) on Wednesday after a man suffered a serious head injury.

The 21-year-old was unconscious and rushed down to the Perisher Medical Centre, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.

A rescue helicopter has been called to the area.

It is not clear if the man was skiing.
