Man stabbed twice in Qld attack

A man is in hospital in a serious, but stable, condition, after being stabbed in the back during an argument with two men on the Gold Coast.

A man has been stabbed in the back during an argument with two men at a home on the Gold Coast.

Two men approached a 33-year-old man at a house on Terrigal Crescent at Southport, about 3.40pm on Thursday (AEST), when a physical altercation broke out, police said.

The 33-year-old man received two stab wounds to his back and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious, but stable, condition.

Police investigations are continuing and anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
