Man stabbed with bottle in Sydney

A 45-year-old man has been stabbed in the chest and shoulder with a broken glass bottle in western Sydney, with a 43-year-old man arrested.

A man is expected to have surgery after he was stabbed with a broken glass bottle in western Sydney.

Emergency workers called to Station St in Penrith on Sunday night found a 45-year-old man with chest and shoulder wounds.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital and is expected to undergo surgery.

A 43-year-old Kingswood man arrested at the scene is due to appear in the Penrith Magistrates Court on Monday charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
