Man suffers spinal injuries in GC surf

A man in his 70s has been taken to hospital with spinal injuries after being pulled from the surf on the southern end of the Gold Coast.

A man in his 70s has spinal injuries after being pulled from surf on the Gold Coast.

Lifeguards rescued the man from the water at Currumbin around 8.30am on Monday and paramedics are transporting him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

It's unclear how the man was hurt or the full extent of his injuries.
