Man trapped between tree and SUV in NSW

A man's death when he became trapped between an unoccupied SUV and a tree in southwest Sydney could be "misadventure", police say.

Investigators are trying to work out how a man was killed when he became trapped between an unoccupied SUV and a tree southwest of Sydney.

The 65-year-old man was found dead at Belimbla Park on Friday morning, NSW Police said in a statement.

"(Initial) inquiries suggest the incident is misadventure," a spokesman said.

"It is believed the vehicle was unoccupied when it struck the man."

A crime scene has been established and will be examined by forensic specialists.
