Man wanted after assault of disabled woman

Police are hoping to identify a man who sexually assaulted an intellectually disabled 23-year-old woman in Sydney's west just over a week ago.

Police have released images of a man wanted over the sexual assault of an intellectually disabled woman in Sydney's west.

Police say the CCTV images are of a man they want to interview after a 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at Yennora Station on the evening of August 30.

The woman was on a city-bound train when the man tried to strike up a conversation with her, police said.

After alighting at Yennora the woman was followed and sexually assaulted by him.

Police are hoping to identify the man described as being Caucasian with brown hair and a beard, as well as his two companions who may be able to help with the investigation.
