Police are still hunting the man who tried to abduct a six-year-old girl from her bed in Logan, south of Brisbane.
The girl was grabbed by the unknown man on Monday morning after he climbed the fence of her family's Loganlea home and unlocked the back door by reaching through a dog door.
Her parents were alerted by the girl's screams as she was being carried downstairs. She was then punched by the attacker.
A Queensland police spokeswoman said police were appealing for witnesses, who may have seen the man riding a BMX bike after 5am along Pinelands Drive on Monday.
"It does appear opportunistic," Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ralston said on Monday.
He urged parents to be more vigilant about securing their homes.
"Please lock your homes. Be safe, be secure."
Police have described the man as having a dark complexion, aged in his early 20s, wearing long pants and a charcoal hooded jumper.
