Mannering pulls out of NRL All Stars game

Warriors and Kiwis skipper Simon Mannering withdraws from the World All Stars team after the birth of his second child.

Warriors captain Simon Mannering has pulled out of the NRL All Stars pre-season game to support his partner following the birth of the couple's second child on Wednesday.

As Kiwis captain, Mannering was an automatic selection in the World All Stars squad but he withdrew from the side after his partner Anna Bensemann gave birth to their second son.

The World All Stars face the Indigenous All Stars at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on February 13.

Two other Kiwis are in the Wayne Bennett-coached World squad - Warriors fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Manly forward Martin Taupau.
