Man's ear cut off during Wheatbelt attack

A 44-year-old man had his ear cut off during an assault at a home in WA's Wheatbelt region.

A 55-year-old man has allegedly cut off another man's ear at a home in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region.

Police say the 44-year-old victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment after being assaulted at a Narrogin home on Wednesday night, suffering several cuts to his face and losing an ear.

His alleged attacker has been charged with offences including deprivation of liberty, grievous bodily harm and cultivate cannabis, and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court later on Thursday.
