Penrith winger Josh Mansour says he's ready to play wherever required if he earns a shock call-up to NSW's State of Origin squad.
The Panthers flyer has been mentioned as a possible bolter for the Blues following his strong start to the year with Brett Morris's shoulder injury freeing up a wing position for Origin II on June 18.
Others such as Manly's Jorge Taufua and Newcastle's James McManus are expected to be ahead of Mansour in Blues coach Laurie Daley's thinking.
The 23-year-old did his chances no harm in Saturday's 36-14 win over Gold Coast, finishing with 169 metres from a game-high 20 runs as well as three off-loads and nine tackle breaks.
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary believes the fact Mansour plays mostly on the left at club level could be a stumbling block in his Origin chances considering the vacant position with the Blues is on the right.
Not that that will stop Mansour hoping for a call-up next week.
"I played a bit of right as a kid," Mansour told AAP.
"If I got the chance, I'd definitely take it."
Regardless of whether he earns an Origin call-up or not, Mansour says it's an exciting time to be in the Panthers line-up, particularly after their victory over the Titans lifted them to top spot on the ladder.
"As the weeks have gone on our combinations are growing week by week," he said.
"Our chemistry has been a big part of our wins. Every game it looks like we're enjoying our footy ... this year all the boys have been putting their hands up and it's been good so far."
