Marc Marquez clinches fifth MotoGP title

Spain's Marc Marquez won his fifth MotoGP title with victory at the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 25-year-old Honda rider is 77 points clear of Italian Andrea Dovizioso and takes out his third consecutive title with three races remaining. He beat Brit Cal Crutchlow with Spain's Alex Rins in third at the Motegi circuit.

Marquez is the youngest rider in the history of the sport to win seven World Championships: 125cc in 2010, Moto2 in 2012 and MotoGP in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
