Marquez cautious ahead of German MotoGP

Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Marquez has cautiously warned that rain or mixed conditions could drastically alter the final outcome at the German Grand Prix.

Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Marquez says anything could happen in the upcoming German Grand Prix, meaning a victory is not guaranteed despite having five consecutive MotoGP wins at the Sachsenring.

Ahead of the Sunday's race, the Honda team rider remained only cautiously optimistic even though he is currently ranked first in the MotoGP World Championship classification, fresh off his win at the Dutch Grand Prix on July 1.

"Now we go to a very different circuit where we're normally very strong, but every year is different - you could object that I often repeat this idea, but it's true!" Marquez, 25, said in a press release from Honda.

"Weather could play an important role, as we've seen in the past. If it's rainy or mixed, everything will change very quickly."

"We'll go there and try to find our level and be strong from the start of the weekend. Then on Sunday we'll try and fight for the podium again."
