What a day before had seemed like an unassailable lead in the Tour de France for Briton Chris Froome has been challenged during the ninth stage.
Irishman Dan Martin broke through for his first ever stage win after surviving a breakaway and a sprint finish on the 168-point-five kilometre stage through the Pyrenees mountains to Bagneres-de-Bigorre.
Overall leader Froome didn't lose any time on his challengers, managing to finish in the main bunch, but as S-B-S ycling commentator David McKenzie told Murray Silby, it was the fragility of his Sky team that surprised.
