Mining services group Orica has appointed former federal Treasury boss Dr Martin Parkinson to its board of directors.
Dr Parkinson will join the company's board as a non-executive director from October 1, following the retirement of Dr Nora Scheinkestel.
He was Treasury secretary under the Gillard and Abbott governments from 2011 to 2014.
